The wood starts its life in the workshop and is cut to size and then sanded to ensure all the edges are smooth, Once sanded they use wood stains and waxes to age the wood to the right colour. No two signs are ever exactly the same and that is how we like it, not every item has to be made overseas out of environmentally unfriendly products in a mass-produced process.
When the wood is dry, it’s ready to come over to the studio where the wording is applied. We don’t like to boast, but they really are the BEST STENCILLERS stencillers in the world – bar none. Customers can’t believe the wording is hand applied and not by machine as it is so precise and eye catching. A layer of lacquer is then added to give the sign a waterproof finish meaning that the sign can be DISPLAYED either INDOORS or OUTDOORS
