JALI LATTICE DESIGN – An openwork lattice panel cast right through the plate, based on the pierced jali screens of traditional Indian and colonial architecture. The cut-through pattern catches light and shadow against the door rather than sitting flat on it, so a plain modern door gains real period character.
SOLID CAST IRON, TRADITIONALLY CAST – Cast in solid iron by traditional methods and finished in a dark antique iron patina that shows the natural iron colour. A genuine casting with weight behind it, not thin pressed or folded sheet, so the lattice has proper depth and relief.
PROTECTS PAINT AND TIMBER – Fitted at hand height on the push side, the plate takes the daily wear from fingers, knuckles and rings that would otherwise scuff paintwork and leave a permanent shadow on bare timber. Ideal for kitchens, hallways and any door in constant use.
FULL DIMENSIONS – 300mm x 70mm x 6mm. The tall narrow vertical proportion suits standard interior doors, traditional four-panel doors and cupboard doors.
ANTIQUE IRON FINISH – The dark antique finish sits naturally alongside black rim locks, thumb latches, butterfly hinges and cast iron fireside accessories, making it easy to carry one consistent period look through a whole property.
