SET OF TWO MATCHED PLATES – Supplied as a pair, ideal for a double door, for both faces of a single much-used door, or for two separate doors in the same room. Each plate is individually cast in solid iron and hand finished, so no two are ever quite identical.
JALI LATTICE DESIGN – An openwork lattice panel cast right through each plate, based on the pierced jali screens of traditional Indian and colonial architecture. The cut-through pattern catches light and shadow against the door rather than sitting flat on it, so a plain modern door gains real period character.
PROTECTS PAINT AND TIMBER ON BOTH DOORS – Fitted at hand height on the push side, the plates take the daily wear from fingers, knuckles and rings that would otherwise scuff paintwork and leave a permanent shadow on bare timber. Two plates cover the pair of doors that get used most.
FULL DIMENSIONS – Each plate measures 300mm x 70mm x 6mm, the tall narrow vertical proportion suits standard interior doors, traditional four-panel doors and cupboard doors, and pairs perfectly on double doors.
ANTIQUE IRON FINISH, SCREWS SUPPLIED FOR BOTH – The dark antique finish sits naturally alongside black rim locks, thumb latches, butterfly hinges and cast iron fireside accessories. Fixing screws are included for both plates.
