SET OF TWO MATCHING PLATES – Supplied as a pair, so both faces of a door can be protected, or two doors treated at once. Cast from the same pattern and finished together, so the two plates match in a way that separately bought singles often do not.
FIGURINE DESIGN – A cast figurine motif running the length of each plate, in the tradition of Victorian and Edwardian door furniture. Decorative enough to give a plain door real character, restrained enough not to fight with the rest of the room.
CAST IRON, UNLACQUERED ANTIQUE FINISH – Cast in iron and finished in a dark antique iron patina, left unlacquered so the surface keeps changing through handling and exposure and settles into an authentic, lived-in look rather than staying factory-new.
PROTECTS PAINT AND TIMBER ON BOTH SIDES – A door is pushed from both faces. Fitting a plate to each side takes the daily wear from fingers, knuckles and rings that would otherwise scuff paintwork and leave a permanent shadow on bare timber. Ideal for kitchens, hallways, offices and any door in constant use.
FITS ALMOST ANY DOOR – Suitable for internal or external use and for timber, metal and uPVC doors, and equally at home on left or right handed installations. As suited to an office, corridor or communal entrance as to a period house.
