MADE FROM A NATURALLY FALLEN CACTUS - The body of the rainstick is a length of cactus that fell of its own accord and was collected rather than cut, so the material is responsibly sourced and no two pieces are identical.
THE SPINES MAKE THE RAIN SOUND - The cactus spines are pushed back through into the hollow body and the tube is filled with tiny gravel before the ends are sealed. Tilting it lets the gravel trickle slowly down over the spines, which is what produces the rain sound rather than a rattle.
SMALL AT APPROX. 15 CM LONG - Roughly 15 cm (6 inches) long and about 3 cm (1.25 inches) across, so it sits in one hand and travels easily. This is the small size in the range.
GENTLE ENOUGH FOR BABIES AND YOUNG CHILDREN - The sound is soft and continuous rather than percussive, which is why it is used as a baby shaker and for settling young children, as well as for meditation, yoga and relaxation.
HANDMADE, SO EACH ONE IS DIFFERENT - The markings and spine pattern come from the cactus itself, so every rainstick looks slightly different. Colour and pattern will vary from the photograph.
